Laura N Hogg is in the Authors spotlight

Most of my work is historical romance with some paranormal and modern-day as well. My most recent work is a short story entitled "Isanne's Revelation." It is a short, medieval, inspirational romance available with The Wild Rose Press.

He sat up on the edge of the bed, his back to her now. He slipped on a shirt
leaving it open, and pants and sat back down, and then leaned over and picked
something up from out of his bag. Kat bent and kissed his neck and started rubbing his
back.
"What are you doing?" Click. Her eyes went wide. She jumped up and faced
him.
He had a gun in his hands, and her heart lurched in horror.
"Guess who's staying here tonight, Kat?"
"I…I don't know," she muttered. "Who?"
"The prince."
In alarm, Kat looked down at his bag. A dagger sat inside, so she picked it up.
"What are you going to do with that, Kat?"
"What are you going to do with that gun?" She could barely breathe.
He grinned wickedly. "Rid myself of the competition. I wonder where Brendan's
room is? I can guess where Jon will be sleeping."
Kat gulped as tears sprang to her eyes. She stepped away from him. "Cory?" she
said devastated. "You don't intend to…"
"Of course I do."
"I won't let you."
"And how do you propose to stop me?"
"I don't know, but I will."
He stood up and sighed. "Step aside, Kat."
"I'll hate you for this."
"No you won't. You see…"
