First you'll notice a change in the format and there's no longer excerpts. Any way lets
get to the interview.
get to the interview.
1) Tell us a little about yourself?
I’m a middle school teacher (which is proof of insanity all by itself!) who also writes erotic romance. When I’m not writing, I love to read all different kinds of romance. I confess that I also love watching TV, especially The Simpsons, Heroes, and The Daily Show.
2) Do you prefer Pepsi, Coke, or Dr Pepper?
None of the above. I’m more of a Mountain Dew girl.
3) What’s your favorite book/Author other than yourself?
Wow, this is a really hard question! There are so many to choose from it’s really hard to pick just one. I guess I’ll say Jumping the Fence by Stephanie Vaughan, because that’s the book that got me into m/m erotic romance. I also love anything by Ally Blue, Emily Veinglory, Jules Jones, Jet Mykles, or Laura Baumbach. Non-m/m authors I like include Sherrilyn Kenyon, Julia Quinn, Lynsay Sands, and lots more!
4) What’s your favorite movie?
I don’t watch many movies, but I did really enjoy Pan’s Labyrinth and Stranger than Fiction. I like movies that have the unexpected, especially those with a touch of fantasy or history.
5) What inspires you? I’m inspired by ordinary people helping each other. There are so many people out there doing things for others, not because they want to be recognized, but because they care.
6) What are your aspirations?
One day I’d like to have a book in print. I also aspire to be published with some of the bigger epubs, and to get in my thirty years at the day job without going completely insane! J
7) What made you want to be a writer?
I don’t know. I’ve always enjoyed reading & writing, and the characters in my head have always seemed almost as real to me as people I know. When I became an adult, though, I never really thought I had the patience to write. One day I stumbled upon a writing contest, and this great idea I’d had in my head just suddenly had to come out. I started writing, and never looked back!
8) What do you write?
Right now, I’m writing exclusively m/m erotic romance, although I don’t rule out writing other things in the future. So far I’ve written contemporary and paranormal stories, but I’d like to write a fantasy or romantic suspense.
9) How long did it take before you where published?
My first finished story won third place in the contest and was published.
10) What writer do you most look up to?
I would say Laura Baumbach, because she is willing to stand up for what she believes in no matter what it takes, and Camille Anthony, because she helped me improve my writing a lot and she’s just such a strong person.
11) What are you working on now?
I have what I refer to as Author ADD, meaning I always have multiple works in progress, as well as a WIP graveyard containing started works I may or may not get back to. I’m currently working on a new paranormal series and editing and revising several completed works.
12) What do you have coming out?
I have Double or Nothing coming out with Dark Eden Press on January 1st, and Fantasies: Independence Day coming out mid-January from Red Rose Publishing.
13) What do you have available?
Right now, having left a former publisher, I have the books I mentioned in the previous question.
Thank you for sharing with us.
